Stronger Voices
2011 – 2012 Development of the Platform for Bucharest, project funded by the Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe.
Stronger Voices is coordinated by the Association for Urban Transition, in partnership with Local Development Group, Save Bucharest, CeRe, the Association for Protecting and Documenting the Monuments and Patrimony in Romania, Centre for Sustainable Policy and Media Monitoring Agency – Active Watch.
The partners are aiming for internal development of the Platform for Bucharest as well as for improving the Platform relationship with urban stakeholders.
The Platform for Bucharest is a group of NGOs fighting for better governance in Bucharest. Their causes are: the built patrimony, sustainable development, environment, public participation.
Project components:
- Organisational Development
- Research on topics such as: urban planning, local development, patrimony protection, good governance, environment
- Public debates on the above mentioned topics to lead to a document called the PACT for Bucharest second edition – a position paper for a better governance and sustainable development in Bucharest
- Training for journalists
- Assistance for citizens.
Take Back your City!
2010 – 2012, project funded by the Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe.
It is a project for urban education of youth, developed by Komunitas Association in 7 high-schools and 8 schools.
This project is aiming at encouraging the youth to get engaged in the decision making process for the City. CeRe is providing short advocacy sessions and is assisting groups of young people to advocate for what they think it is important for the city to have.
