Different but Together!

The project “Different but Together!” was developed for the people with intellectual disabilities in Timis county and was an attempt to secure employment for as many of them as possible. In order to succeed in this attempt, in 2007, the Pentru Voi Foundation set up the Pentru Voi Protected Unit, based on Law 448/2006, Art. 78. The center so far succeeded in getting employment for more than 109 persons with intellectual disabilities within the free market or the protected unit. 20 persons with severe disabilities were employed in the day center’s workshops and contracts are signed every year with more than 30 companies. Besides the employment initiatives in the labour market, the Pentru Voi Foundation aims at improving the legislation on the rights of disabled people through constant lobbying activities.
