In an attempt to improve the efficiency of public services, the Prahova Scientists’ Foundation ran the project entitled “We, the Citizens!” to promote citizen participation in the decision making process. The project turned out to be a successful initiative due to the fact that in the city of Ploiesti, there were several shortages in the relationship between the citizens and the local administration: lack of communication, lack of trust from the citizens, lack of transparency in the activity of the local administration.
