Civic Dialogue in Europe

Goal
The goal was to stimulate the debate and reflection on civic dialogue at all levels, as an expression of an active European citizenship among civil society's organizations belonging to both old and new EU Member States.

Results

• 8 partners of the project improved their knowledge regarding civic dialogue and are now better prepared to initiate civic dialogue processes among different actors at local, national and European levels;
• 4 media reports about civic dialogue experiences in 4 different countries;
• a website about citizen participation and civic dialogue in Europe (www.beingcitizen.eu);
• 2 newsletters were published within the project;
• a network of organizations active in the field of promoting civic dialogue in Europe;
• a guide of good practises and mechanisms from the civic dialogue field, used at different levels to initiate and develop civic dialogue to be issued;
• at least 100 institutions of different types in Europe (NGOs, public authorities, companies, etc.) are now aware of the civic dialogue importance and make their own contribution to civic dialogue.
