What the project aims at
Improving the capacity of NGOs which provide social services to intervene in public decisions and policies, so that to determine the authorities to allocate more resources to social services. The targeted non-governmental organizations will receive training and assistance for conducting advocacy campaigns meant to obtain public support for the services provided by the organizations.

Activities
- conducting a study that contains an analysis of success stories of financial support for social services from public budgets;
- organizing a debate regarding the laws and instruments that support the funding of social services by the authorities;
- having local advocacy campaigns conducted by the organizations benefiting from this project;
- providing assistance and advice on organizing 7 local advocacy campaigns to the selected non-governmental organizations;
- conducting a seminar to discuss the strong points and weak points of the local campaigns;
- putting together a collection of case studies containing four of the most interesting and successful advocacy campaigns and a “lessons learned” section.
Present stage
û In order to provide a basis for discussion on the public funding of social services provided by NGOs, the Pentru Voi Foundation started to research the “Timisoara Case”. This case will soon be available to any non-governmental organization or public institution that wishes to see how this action works for this specific city.
û Registration for organizations eligible to receive assistance with this project has begun. To register, you can download the notice and registration form. The deadline for submitting the application is February 11.
