Goal:
Raising awareness among citizens and public authorities with regards to the value of historical protected areas of Bucharest.
Objectives:
- Participatory collection of information and stories about the urban past and present of the Labyrinth area;
- Involving the inhabitants of the Labyrinth area in the elaboration of a neighbourhood monograph;
- Promoting the urban and cultural heritage of the Labyrinth area and holding authorities accountable for its protection and development.

Main activities:
- 20 interviews with the inhabitants of the protected area Labyrinth;
- Archive research and collection of information about the Labyrinth historical area;
- Requests of information sent to public authorities regarding the planned urban operations in the area;
- Workshop with a French organisation about the involvement of the local community in heritage protection projects;
- 2 meetings in the neighbourhood with the inhabitants in order to discuss the history of the area and its future development;
- A set of recommendations for the authorities regarding the conservation and the development of the Labyrinth area;
- Publishing a neighbourhood monograph – „The Memory of Labyrinth”.
The project “The History of Labyrinth” is co-funded by the Union of Architects of Romania and the French Embassy in Romania.
